A problem came up on the development of the jersey barriers. Although the measures are correct, they were taken from here http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0d/Jersey_barrier_2.png/576px-Jersey_barrier_2.png, they seem to be the tallest ones, therefor figures in 1/72 placed next to it seem off scale.
After some more reserch i'm aware that there are other ones smaller. This ones have 1,10 m high being the others about 80cm high. Therefor this product can be used either for 1/72 as for 1/48 -1/50. So in this case the barriers will have the lowest high. Bellow the relation with a 1/50 figure from Preiser.
These are military barriers, and need to be higher as they are to prevent suicide and car-bombers. The shorter ones are for civil traffic works and contra-flows.
ReplyDeleteSo you don't really have a problem at all!
Thanks for the input Hugh.
