Brevemente, teremos disponivel uma edição limitada de 50 Moinhos Portugueses, edição essa que será numerada, assinada e cada embalagem terá uma imagem de fundo diferente. Todos os Moinhos estão montados e pintados à mão, devidamente envelhecidos e tratados como se tratasse de um Moinho real. Quer seja colecionador, ou entusiasta de comboios que não queira ou tenha tempo para montar o nosso kit com o Moinho Português, esta será a solução. Está pronto a utilizar ou para por na estante. Very soon we will have available a 'Limited Edition' of only 50 Portuguese Windmills. This edition will be numbered, signed and each package will have a different backdrop. All Windmills are completely assembled and hand painted, weathered and aged as if it were a real one. If you are a collector or a railroad enthusiast and don't want or have no time to build our Portuguese Windmill from the kit yourself, this will be the perfect solution. It is ready to use or to put on display. More news later on.

Portuscala 2010

Este fim de semana realiza-se a edição deste ano da Portuscala. Devido à impossibilidade de estarmos presentes, convidamos os nosso leitores e clientes a aparecerem no stand da BIGCAT Modelismo, que estará presente e que tem produtos GEM.

This weekend is the 2010 edition of Portuscala. Due to the fact that we could not possibly attend this fair/exhibition ourselves, we herewith invite our readers and customers to visit the BIGCAT Modelismo stand, which will attend and carries GEM's products.

Construcção de Terrenos / Terrain Building

Base para os dentes de dragão a 1/48 e o Set de construcção de terrenos Europa.

Base for the dragon's teeth at 1/48, and the starter set for European terrains.

Para a modelação do terreno utilizou-se Das Pronto, barro que cura ao ar, disponivel em qualquer hipermercado.

For the contours of the terrain we used Das Pronto air curing modelling clay, available in almost every hypermarket.

Próxima fase é a preparação do trabalho do terreno. Cola Branca, o set de terrenos, um coador fino, pincel velho e um copo plastico para a mistura.

The next step is the work preparation for the actual terrain. We use PVA glue, the terrain starter set, a fine sieve, an old brush and a plastic cup for the mixing.

Mistura-se a cola branca com o pigmento do set de terrenos.

Mix the PVA glue with the pigment from the terrain set.

Aplica-se a pasta na base.

Apply the mix on the base.

Usando o coador selecione as pedras mais pequenas e poeira de pedras.

Use the sieve to select the smallest rocks and rock dust.

Faça o mesmo com a flocagem.

Do the same with the ground cover material.

Adiciona-se mais pigmento.

Add more pigment.

Espalha-se pela base.
Spread it over the base.

Depois terá de se retirar o excesso, o que não fica imediatamente colado.

After this we have to remove the excess, i.e. whatever doesn't stick rightaway.

Num outro recipiente mistura-se vários tipos de relva, que vamos aplicar com uma pinça.

In another cup we mix various types of grass, which we are going to apply with a pair of tweezers.

Terreno praticamente concluido, pintam-se os dentes de dragão com Stone Grey da Vallejo.

When the terrain is almost finished, we paint the dragon's teeth with Stone Grey from Vallejo.

Para tudo ficar pronto falta apenas mais figuras, uma lavagem e um envelhecimento nos dentes de dragão. Mas o terreno está pronto.

For everything to be ready we only have to add some figures, give it a wash and give some age to the dragon's teeth. But the terrain is then 'already ready'...!.

Cópias a 1/72 que também funcionam como obstaculos mais baixos a 1/48. Figura da Italeri à mesma escala

Copies at 1/72 work also as lower obstacles compared to 1/48. The Italeri soldier is at the same scale.

Já está disponivel o produto R15001 - Dentes de Dragão, em 15mm. Compativel com Flames of War este novo produto apresenta-se em blister com 20 unidades. Brevemente teremos disponivel também em versão pré-pintada e com base.

The product R15001 is already available - Dragon's Teeth, in 15 mm. This new product matches with Flames of War and comes in a blister with 20 units. They will soon also be available in a pre-painted version and with a base.
